New Products.

March 30th, 2010

So what new products have we just got in?

We have the Nissan Navara D40 roof rails and already we have started selling very well. The other products include side bars for the Kia Soul.

The Kia Soul is a funky looking concept type car. So the side bars we sell for them are unique, even down to the packaging.

Smart car! Yes side bars for the smart car, just as you though it couldn’t get any more bizzare.

We have also started doing a whole host of running boards for other 4×4s like the kia sorrento, audi Q7, Mitsubishi Outlander to name a few.

Lets Compare!

October 9th, 2009

Soo, for a while our customers have been telling us how much more main dealer prices are than ours, of course.

So we had an idea. That’s right, stand back.

We thought it would be a good idea to get a price for the equivalent product would cost from the main dealers compared to ours. I know what you are thinking.. “but Lee, they wont be the exactly the same, and the main dealers are better quality.” Well you know what I say to that! 1st; a side bar is a side bar as my grandad used to say. If it is 3 inch tube made of stainless steel then there ain’t that much variation. But 2ND our quality is mega. Main dealers often buy our bars over their own.

So what were the results?

Well I have just a few examples of their price, ours price and the savings.

Audi:-

  • Their running boards £673.90
  • ours £238.05
  • Saving you £435.85

Honda CRV:-

  • Their running boards £390.00
  • Our running boards £140.30
  • Saving £249.70

Range Rover:-

  • Their side bars £629.63
  • Ours £238.05
  • Saving 391.58

So why have I chosen these? Well these are very similar to the original manufactures parts.

Of course this is one of the main reasons why you all buy from us, and also explains why we are one of europe’s largest suppliers of 4×4 accessories.

Truckers, we need your cab!

September 15th, 2009

Hello again.

Well what can I say, Direct4×4 is growing, Yes into the Truck market!

We have just had delivered some stainless steel roof light bars, mmm.

These are for the Foden Sleeper cab which is the Daf sleeper cab over here. We also have the lightbar for the Volvo FL6, which I recently found out that a lot of the fire engines use here in the UK. Hey thats an idea for all you firechaps/chapetts, using this light bar with some heavy duty spotlights on the top, you can see the scene better.

Anyway, the last truck we do goodies for is the Iveco stralis onwards cab. There is a top quality light bar and a front Aframe/bar with spotlight mounting points.

Hey, if any of you guys or gals out there have one of these truck and wants free fitting of these bars, just give Mark or Lee a call on 01332 601016.

Happy trucking!

T5 New pictures.

July 29th, 2009

So, did you see the blog yesterday? The new pics on the L200?

Well, look here at some new picys for the T5 with our trim parts on it. A nice chappy came down to our place last week for some goodies.

He had the..

Yet again, we had a very happy customer.

It seems that our Volkswagen T5 accessories are our best sellers at the moment. Especially the side bars. These fit using long cross brackets under the car (no drilling). We also have the roof rails which are flying out, must be that people want to use them for work. The chap with this T5 was going to have it converted into a campervan and then travel around the world.

New Pictures

July 28th, 2009

Hi Chaps. We had a guy come from Walsall last week and he brought his L200 (new shape) up. Although it was a tasty black colour, he thought it looked a little bland so he decided to put a few accessories on it.

We started with the wind deflectors. These were in either dark smoked or carbon fibre finish, we went with the dark ones. As you can see in the pictures, they fitted great using 3M adhesive tape on the back (although I must admit that we cheated a little and just put them in situe for the photos). These did fit well though.

After this we went with the running boards. This was great as we didne have any photos of them fitted to an L200. The fitting was sooo easy. 4 brackets which press up against the chassis and are held tightly in place with large U-bolts.

The result was great! Our chap was very happy with them. As you can see from the pictures, they fit snugly in between the wheel arches and have a good platform for putting your feet on to get up into the car or access the roof.

He also bought the whole trim kit from us, so if you see a dazzling light coming over the horizon in Walsall, then sorry, that is our fault.

MTV Pimp My Ride!!!

December 23rd, 2008

MTV.co.uk contacted us at the begining of October for some side bars on a pimped up riot van.

Westwood and the Riot van!

Westwood and the Riot van!

As you can see the guys at Pimp my Ride have done it again! By adding our stainless steel side bars to this old police riot sprinter van, they have transformed it into a tasty looking bling monster. Although we didnee meet the top dog Westwood himself, you can see him showcasing our side bars above.

So the idea was to turn an old beaten up riot van into a portable ‘hang out’ centre for the XLP charity. You can see all the gadgets in the van through the link.

I know there are other bits and bobs that make it look the bomb. But I must admit that the side bars are the best.

All for a good cause..

All for a good cause..

So about the side bars. They are top quality stainless steel bars with stainless capped ends. They fit the long wheel based Mercedes Sprinter and the VW LT.
