All orders being delivered within Mainland UK include Free Delivery.
For the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Scottish Highlands please ask for delivery charges as there will be a charge, and the delivery time may be longer due to the size of the package.
For security reasons we reserve the right not to deliver orders if we have reason to believe that the address is not secure or the order is fraudulent. If this affects an order you place, we will notify you as soon as we can.
Delivery of orders to the UK is within 2-3 working days from when payment is made if ordered before 3pm. During very busy periods, such as Christmas, however despatch may be delayed. All delivery timescales are approximate, a precise day for a delivery cannot be specified unless Next Day delivery is chosen and no time slot is given. If an email address is provided with the order you will be notified when your items are despatched along with the tracking information.
Direct4x4 cannot be held responsible for delays caused by low bridges that we have not been told of at the time of ordering. If an item is returned to us by the couriers due to this issue we reserve the right to charge the return and resend costs to the customer of £45.
An option for Next Day UK delivery is available:
We do offer Saturday deliveries, please select the Saturday delivery option in the checkout for this as the cost is more than a Next day delivery. While an order is sent out on a Saturday service if the courier is not able to deliver the goods due to no one being home, or other reasons out of Direct4x4's control, then the charge will not be refunded. Orders must be placed before 1pm for same day despatch (Monday to Friday). Any next day orders placed after this time will be processed and despatched the following working day. Any next day orders placed on a Friday after 1pm will be processed on Monday for delivery Tuesday. We will notify you via email, that your parcel has been dispatched the day that it leaves.
Tracking information is provided, however our larger items are not always track-able outside of the UK. Roof racks and OE style side steps etc can take up to 10 working days for delivery to some European countries.
If your parcel has been dispatched and you are not in to receive the item, the couriers will attempt re-delivery. If your not in on the 2nd attempt and the parcel is returned to us you will be charged up to and including £45 per delivery attempt including the original attempt to delivery your parcel, for the service we have arranged. Some of the couriers will attempt to leave your parcel with a neighbour but you are NOT guaranteed a phone call to say the courier is on his way to your house.
For some small items that are being sent out as replacements we will send them to a UPS access point, this is to ensure that you do not have to wait in for these items. There are 3,000 of these nation wide so one will be in your area for you to go to the shop to collect your parcel. Nothing longer than 80 cm, a 330 cm girth or weighing more than 20kgs will be sent to the access points due to space restraints. Replacement or missing parts may also be sent to your local UPS access point to ensure that you do not have to wait in for these items, saving you a lost day of work.
Access points will also be used for some returns at our discretion.
A signature will be required on delivery, if no one is available to sign for the item a card will be left with instructions to follow to re-arrange the delivery or collect the item.
For countries and area's outside of Mainland UK we charge a postage fee only to cover our costs of materials and labour. Any additional charges including currency conversions made by your card provider are the responsibility of yourself/recipient.
We aim to deliver all international order within 5-7 working days (subject to customs clearance). A signature will be required upon delivery. If an email address has been provided you will be notified once your order is despatched along with any tracking information.
For countries outside the EU all customs charges and taxes are to be paid by the recipient. If the consignee refuses to do this and Direct4x4 incur costs due to this then any refund will be minus those costs.
Any orders over £200.00 being delivered to Southern Ireland will need to be paid for via Bank Transfer. The details are available upon request.
During the checkout process you are able to specify a different delivery address than your billing address (provided the billing address matches the address your payment card is registered to). For security reasons we reserve the right not to deliver orders if we have reason to believe that the address is not secure or the order is fraudulent.
Please ensure that the delivery address is correct before placing the order as we are unable to take responsibility for delay or loss of a parcel where an incorrect or incomplete address has been provided. We are not able to change a delivery address once the order has been despatched. If you are having the order delivered to a business address please make sure that the Company Name is included as well as the name of the recipient. All orders delivered to a business address must be checked before being signed for.
If any item is not available we will inform you as soon as we are made aware of this with the options that are available to you.
We do not take responsibility for delays (due to weather, incorrect address or no signee available at delivery address etc) once the order has left our warehouse. We will make every effort to ensure your order in delivered within the time stated. We will not provide compensation due to delayed delivery or inconvenience.
Although we are generally able to get the goods out to you within a few days, please allow up to 5 days for delivery. If you are ordering a Photo Transfer then please allow three to four weeks for delivery.
Our prices include VAT at the UK rate which you must pay unless you provide a valid VAT number.
